Dublin – Newport Street Apartments

Project Overview

Our Client approached us firstly in 2017 about using our 350mm external 200mm RC core block and 300mm party 200mm RC core block for their six storey development in Dublin City.

We had previously built the Clients house in Crosshaven and he was keen to use our Thermohouse materials on his own large development.

We’re delighted to be involved in an apartment project of this scale, demonstrating the value of our building block in apartment building.

How Thermohouse helped

We worked extensively with the Client, his Architect, Structural Engineer and Fire Officer to resolve any issues in this complex build. For efficiency, they used our 300mm party block on the lift shaft and removed the internal polystyrene after the pour. We also helped develop acceptable details for the boundary walls abutting existing buildings.

One of our experienced supervisors went to site to help with the rising blockwork, ground and first floor blockwork builds, after this the Clients Builder felt confident to proceed unassisted.
