Tralee Bay Wetlands Visitor Centre

Project Overview

The ‘Tralee Bay Wetlands Visitor Centre’ in Tralee, Co. Kerry features a curved roof supported on specially fabricated glulam beams.

The Thermohouse building system elements were used to construct all external walls, internal walls and roof, providing a complete structural thermal envelope for the contemporary visitor centre.

The ThermoWall ICF retaining wall blocks were used to encompass the structural steel required. The steel columns were embedded within the 200mm core of Insulated Concrete Formwork walls, completely obscuring these supports from view.
