Our client contacted us for the supply & install of our rapid build, fully certified and complete low energy building system for his Self build which was the perfect solution. Thermohouse also recommended a trusted, local & certified installer for the build.
This project is a 2 storey dwelling. Thermohouse modules used were our 350mm external wall, 250mm load bearing internal walls, Thermofloor and Thermoroof system.

What type of dwelling did you build & why
We built a 2 storey dwelling consisting of an insulted raft, Thermowalls, Thermoroof and Thermofloor. The external walls were 350mm forms and 250mm forms load bearing internal walls. Having researched the most energy efficient building methods before construction and noting ICF had been around since the 1960’s I was excited to use this “new” method of construction having an engineering background.
Why did you choose Thermohouse? /key factors helped decision to use Thermohouse Building system
Primarily we chose Thermowall ICF due to the superior air tightness and energy performance it could achieve compared to traditional block whilst also providing more structural strength. To complement this the availability of Thermoroof instead of a cut roof and Thermofloor instead of hollowcore both providing added energy efficiency with excellent U-Values also were a factor in the decision. Having originally planned to erect the system myself, we eventually decided to go with ACM Building Contractors. Having viewed their previous projects using the full system and finding the costs competitive versus traditional build it was a no brainer, and the build quality was excellent. Since the fast completion of the system, we have been able to complete much of the internal fit out directly which has been an advantage adding valve also.
Would you recommend Thermohouse/ how has the experience been
I would recommend the Thermohouse system due to its superior energy efficiency and structural strength.
